Confirm compatibility and migration instructions before replacing your installation. Alpha and Beta packages can have different operating rules and save locations.
Prepare a consistent backup
Finish any active flight, allow processing to complete and stop the application as described by the release. Back up the existing save before updating.
Verify the new installation
Follow the supplied installer, then check the product version, connection state and airline save. Keep the previous backup. After a new version has written data, do not blindly restore an older database.
